Bob Willen, Global Managing Partner and Chairman for Carney, presents the Global Cities Resilience Index, created in collaboration with the FII Institute. The index aims to provide a forward-looking view on how cities can adapt to challenges and build resilient infrastructure. The framework considers institutional governance, sustainable finance and business, technology and innovation, social and human capital, and global integration. The inaugural study analyzes 31 cities, with London ranking first due to its global connectivity. Amsterdam follows, excelling in human capital and society connectedness. New York secures third place, showcasing a balanced performance across various factors. Dubai is fourth, attracting talent and leveraging technology. Toronto rounds out the top five, with strong institutional governance. The index encourages city leaders, investors, businesses, and citizens to collaborate and build a more resilient future.
